Standing,
applause, crying actors in the National Theatre.
The
last case happened two years ago.
Then
the Tragedy of Human and the director were attacked. The audience had responded
similarly just before Robert Alföldi met the minister. Fired or not? That was
the issue.
Now
it was not an issue. The same could be experienced in the last month at the end
of Angels in America. There sporadic applause and standing ovation. Last night
all of the theatre were standing, applausing and crying. The orchestra, the choir,
the lodges, the actors were weaping and Alföldi too because it is
incomprehensible why it is necessary to destroy something people like, that
works, what people watch, that is profitable and exciting.
The
government and politicians do not understand that if they can do something it
is not sure they must do. They do not need to destroy value for an other. They
could not accept that the hundred people is not a homogen mass but there are
plenty of rightists amongst them who did not applause for the government but
for Robert Alfödi and his Theatre.

For
the theatre in which János Vitéz received positive critics while the extreme
rightists reviled it. For the thetre where despite the political jiggery-pokery
left-wings and rightist work together for a common goal and shows. Optionally
they stand next to him as Péter Blaskó did. For the theatre in connection with
Imre Kerényi congratulated to Robert Alföldi. And for Robert Alföldi who
Levente Szörényi and Attila Gáspárik stood next to.
And
now it is ruined we, the audience, will lose it. It is no coincidence that the
people are interested in the former director and not the new one, his interview
was seen by more than 50000 people.

the audience proved they are better than professionals. They were not able to
say a word while they know know how it is valuable Robert Alföldi created.
The
audience expressed not only by applause
and ovation but by words.

I
was crying in the last 25 minutes and then the end came. At the end of the show
the audience stood up and celebrated Robert Alföldi. The show, the authors,
Robert Alföldi… everything, the lost five years. Elders were sitting next to me
and I saw the standing and they were as enthusiastic as a young. It was creepy
to experience it. When 600 people unite it is undescribable. I looked back and
saw people in gallery and boxes are applausing and going wild.
The
actors and the audience were crying together… Thanks for the night we will not
forget it!
First
of all I was sorry for Robert Alföldi when it turned out that he cannot stay
director then at the end of the show I was sorry for myself. He is an excellent
actor, director and yesterday he stood for his collegaue (András Stohl) and as
we can see he greeted art secretary in stage. Right-wing voter sentiments as I
have to say, in the current cultural policy is a huge mistake! Borzacskához
like I lived through this "breathing together," and I think that is
also resistant to the stage this evening felt special significance. In the last
five years of work absolute success that only the "blind" can not see
it. Bring others and actor Rob! "
