Standing ovation and weeping actors after the performance of Robert Alföldi

21th of December 2012.

The audience of National Theatre cheered through minutes after the Angels in America in Wednesday evening.

According to the Robert Alföldi Against Facebook-community ‘At the end of the show the audience stood up and applauded throgh minutes meanwhile the actors, the orchestra, the boxes, the gallery were all weeping and Robert Alföldi too because it is inconceivable why do they (the policy maybe) have to ruin something that works, what people like, what they watch, that is profitable, exciting, lovable and living?’
‘The thousands of people who love to go to theatre is not a homogeneous dollop but – as it can be read in the guestbook – there are rightists who do not applauded for the government but for the theatre, for Robert Alföldi.’ – they wrote.

As we have reported Attila Vidnyánszky won the competiton and he became the head of National Theatre.
